Privacy

Last updated October 21, 2026

This policy covers the Intelli Run app for iPhone and Apple Watch, the intelli.run website, and the Intelli Run waitlist.

The short version: the app has no account and we run no servers for it. Your runs, health data, calendar and location stay on your devices. We never receive them, so we can't sell or share them.

The app

Location

While you record a run, the app uses your location to track your route, distance and pace. If you allow location access at all times, it keeps tracking while the screen is locked or you're in another app. It only does this during a run you started.

When you set up the planner, the app checks your location once to use as your home for weather forecasts. It stores that point on your iPhone and doesn't track where you go.

Weather

To plan around the weather, the app asks Apple Weather for hourly forecasts. Each request sends Apple the coordinates of your home or, on days you're away, of an event location from your calendar. We don't send your name, email or any account with these requests. Apple handles them under its own privacy policy.

Apple Health

With your permission, the app reads your heart rate, resting heart rate, running distance and workouts from Apple Health. It uses these to set your heart-rate zones, suggest a weekly goal from your recent running, and count runs you record with other apps toward your week. It saves runs you record, with route, distance and heart rate, to Apple Health.

Health data stays on your devices. We don't use it for advertising or marketing, and we don't share it with anyone.

Calendar

With your permission, the app reads the calendars on your iPhone, including iCloud, Google or Outlook accounts you've added to iOS. It looks at when you're busy, and where events are, to find open times for runs. When you book a run, it adds an event to the calendar you chose and remembers that event so it can notice if you move or delete it.

Your calendar data isn't sent anywhere by the app. Events it adds sync the way the rest of that calendar does, through your calendar provider.

Heart-rate monitors

If you pair a Bluetooth heart-rate monitor, the app connects to it to show live heart rate and coach you by zone. It remembers the monitor so it can reconnect.

Apple Watch

Your iPhone sends your Apple Watch what it needs to coach you: upcoming runs and their forecast, your weekly progress, your heart-rate zones and your preferred units. This goes directly between your devices through Apple's Watch connection. Runs recorded on the Watch use its GPS and heart-rate sensor, and are saved to Apple Health.

Notifications

Reminders and suggestions to move a run are created on your iPhone. They aren't sent from a server.

What the app doesn't do

The app has no sign-in, and it doesn't include analytics, advertising or tracking code. It doesn't track you across other apps or websites.

If you test a beta through TestFlight, Apple shares crash reports, and any feedback or screenshots you choose to send, with us. We use them only to fix problems.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes everything it stores on your devices. Runs saved to Apple Health stay there until you delete them in the Health app. Run events stay in your calendar until you delete them. You can turn off any permission at any time in Settings on your iPhone or Watch.

The website and waitlist

What we collect

If you join the waitlist, we store your email address. That's all we ask for. We use Vercel Analytics to count page visits. It doesn't use cookies or track you across other sites.

How we use it

We only use your email to tell you about Intelli Run: when the beta opens and when the app launches. We don't sell or share it, and we don't send marketing from anyone else.

Who processes it

Waitlist emails are stored with Resend, our email provider. The site is hosted on Vercel. Both act on our behalf and only for these purposes.

Your choices

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. To have your email deleted, write to hello@intelli.run and we'll remove it.

Changes and contact

If the app starts handling data differently, for example by adding Strava upload, we'll update this page first and change the date at the top. Questions go to hello@intelli.run.
